5 AMAZING BEAUTY PRODUCTS TO TRY THIS MONTH

Every year, the beauty industry surprises me more and more with innovative and effective beauty products. Just when I think a formula can’t get better, it does. With all the parties this season and Carnival coming up, you should probably prepare your skin for another night of dancing and drinks.
I spent some time trying to decide which products are worthy of this list, so I hope it helps you in updating your beauty routine for the entire season.

1. SUPERGOOP! Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40

The lack of visible sunlight doesn’t mean you should refrain from sunscreen. I’ve recently been wearing sunscreen daily, even when I am wearing makeup with SPF (Yes, it’s highly recommended, but that’s for another blog post lol). This sunscreen is colorless, grease-less (perfect for my oily, combo skin type) and most importantly, doesn’t change my makeup.

It also contains red algae, which helps protect against the harmful effects of Blue Light, the light emitted from our phones and computers, while meadow foam seed oil increases skin hydration for a more even skin texture.

2. OLEHENRIKSEN Counter Balance Oil Control Hydrator

This moisturizer is good for both oily and combination skin. I love using this in my morning routine, it’s a mattifying hydrator while minimizing the appearance of pores and improves the wear of foundation.

3. THE ORDINARY Mandelic Acid HA (Hyaluronic Acid)

If you’re new to the acid game I would highly recommend this as it does not induce as much peeling as other acids and it’s very light weight. This is a fantastic solution that visibly targets uneven tone, hyper pigmentation, fine lines and reduces textural irregularity as it exfoliates the skin internally.

4. THE ORDINARY 100% Plant-Derived Squalane 30ml

This lightweight plant based solution supports healthy hydration and is suitable for all skin types. I typically use this in my night time routine or when I’m abroad for winter, as it leaves my skin feeling so supple and soft.

5. SOAPOLOGY Walnut Polisher

I use this physical exfoliater about once/ twice per week when I want that deep clean. The husk of the walnut, is ground up & made into a powder that is rich in antioxidants, minerals & beneficial fatty acids known to alleviate the negative affects of skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema & ordinary blemishes.
